OPTICAL TECHNICIAN

The Optical Technician, will assist with the manufacturing and testing of various fiber optic and electrical components within a manufacturing environment, including mechanical assembly.

Must be able to perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor or manager within the physical constraints of the job.

OPERATIONS

• Manufacture, assemble and test various fiber optic and electrical components
• Identify non-conforming material
• Follow instructions to maintain workflow in accordance with process cycle process times.
• Perform intricate procedures during product assembly process

COMMUNICATION

• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
• Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically Inclined Assembly Experience
• 1+ years of related experience in fiber-optic and / or electronic assembly

PREFERRED

Fiber Optical Assembly Experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

Good computer skills and Microsoft knowledge
