POSITION SUMMARY :
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will be required to oversee all housekeeping duties within
Aventura Mall facilities, including all three work shifts. Incumbent supervises and inspects work
of the mall cleaning staff who perform building service and related work for the upkeep of a
safe and clean environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assists the housekeeping manager and supervise housekeeping staff as duties are being
- performed
- Maintain supply inventory, including ordering and receiving.
- Prepare / maintain necessary records and process weekly payroll
- Assist with hiring / firing of staff and retention
- Train new hires on and enforce Policy & Procedures.
- Oversee safe use of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Keep inventory of mall owned equipment
- Coach & Counsel employees as necessary to ensure that all company policies are met by
- the housekeeping staff
- Distribute and assign daily work to all housekeeping attendants
- Monitors and maintains level of cleanliness in all areas of the mall including Food Hall
- and outside areas
- The employee is expected to work in other areas of the mall when needed to assist
- operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Ensure that work is properly assigned to cover the daily operations
- Ability to be present on the floor and hands-on if needed
- Motivate staff and supervisors to maintain positive employee morale.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 2-4 of experience in a similar role
- High School Diploma or GED
- OSHA Certification preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Basic use of Microsoft Word Products
Knowledge and Skills :
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to be hands on of needed
- Great communication skills
