We are looking for an Intern / Co-op for the Spring 2025 semester who can work full-time, primarily onsite (with the possibility of some remote work), with employment starting in January.
The Intern / Co-op will prepare clear, complete and accurate detail drawings, testing, Engineering Change Orders and Bills of Materials from rough or detailed sketches or notes provided by engineers or designers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES; other duties as assigned :

- Process written Engineering Change Orders. Engineering Change Orders include various 2D drafting work, Bill of Material changes and the writing of an Engineering Change Order.
This work is being done under close direction from a designer or engineer.
Makes 2D AutoCAD drawings, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
Make assembly and experimental drawings as required.
- Utilizes knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Draws finished 2D designs from sketches supplied by a designer or engineer.
- Uses AutoCAD software Microsoft Dynamics to distribute part numbers, Engineering Change Orders, and Bill of Materials that the rest of the company utilizes in their processes.
- Has the ability to make small design changes to 3D models previously created using the Solid Works program.
- Documentation and reporting skills to support the Product Engineering team as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Must be enrolled in an accredited technical school or university studying toward an associate / bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 3.00 / 4.0.
- Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word and Excel. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Creo or Auto Desk required.
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers, supervisors and peers.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
