We are seeking a high-energy TIG-MIG Welder with strong experience in stainless steel fabrication who will lend themselves as a valuable team player to our customer-focused fabrication department.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor complete project from cutting to welding, polishing, and pipefitting
• Read and interpret blueprints and / or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• MIG and TIG stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and / or drawings of pipe and frames
• Operate fabrication and welding machinery used in the sheer, roller, break bender chop saw, process or assist machine operators
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given welding task.
• Work with fabrication team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually or using a hoist
• Uphold all ISO, OSHA, or other QA welding standards applicable to the responsibilities above
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality welding standards.
• Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
• Take on additional duties as required or needed
• Travel for installations as needed
• Prepare finished product for shipment

Prerequisite Skills

• Ability to identify and repair flaws in existing metal objects and structures
• Good hand-to-eye coordination and vision to do welding
• Strength and stamina
• Advanced understanding of shop mechanics and blueprints
• Pipe fitting
• Knowledge and application of safety procedures

Prior Experience

• Associate degree or certification in welding from AWS preferred
• Professional Welding and Fabrication : 3 years minimum
• Able to lift / carry up to 50 lbs.

There is a written and practical skills test as part of the interview.

You will be required to lay out a basic shape on the plate and produce an acceptable weld bead on stainless steel plate and pipe.
