Survey Crew Chief

Company Overview : My client is a leading Surveying firm specializing in Surveying. As they continue to expand their operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join thier dynamic team.

Position Overview : The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for leading a team of survey technicians in conducting various field surveys.

This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in surveying techniques and equipment operation.

The Survey Crew Chief will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our surveying projects while adhering to safety protocols and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of survey technicians
• Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels.
• Interpret survey data and prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior survey staff to facilitate their professional development.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and budgets as needed.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief or similar role in the surveying industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining surveying equipment including total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant surveying software.
• Familiarity with surveying regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
