Job Description : As a TxDOT CEI-SWP3 Inspector , you will be responsible for performing inspections required by the project’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3), erosion control measures, and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) inspections.

Key Responsibilities : Conduct inspections as prescribed in the project’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and in compliance with the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) Construction General Permit (CGP) as administered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Complete TxDOT Form 2118 Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Field Inspection and Maintenance Report documenting findings of inspection.

Communicate findings and proposed corrective actions to project team. Qualifications : Basic Requirements : High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of experience in SWP3 compliance on TxDOT projects. TxDOT ENV302 Certification a must. May be substituted with Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) or Construction Site Inspectors of Sediment and Erosion Control (CISEC) or equivalent training.

Proficiency in completing TxDOT Form 2118. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelors or Associates degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.

May be substituted with 5 years of experience in SWP3 compliance on TxDOT projects. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Skills & Competencies : Exceptional communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
