Installation Technician
Aspen Aerials is a leading provider of truck mounted, bridge inspection equipment.
Position Overview
Aspen Aerials is seeking an Assembly and Installation Technician to join our team. As an Assembly and Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient and precise installation of Aspen Aerials equipment on chassis, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
This role involves hands-on work and mechanical experience is a plus. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Installation :
- Prep chassis for installing an Aspen Aerials subframe.
- Install hydraulic axle lock assemblies to the truck.
- Use a Huck Bolt machine to fasten the subframe to the truck frame.
- Relocate chassis components that interfere with the subframe installations, such as air tanks, air dryers, fuel tanks, and other parts.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any installation challenges.
- Quality Assurance :
- Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections during and after the installation process.
- Identify and address any issues or defects promptly to ensure equipment meets company standards.
- Documentation :
- Complete installation reports and documentation for each job.
- Training and Development :
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
Qualifications :
- Experience in production assembly, Installation Technician or similar role, preferable but not required
- Mechanical skills
- Ability to use basic hand tools, drills, saws, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lb.
- Must work on and around truck and hydraulic equipment, including crawling, knelling, sitting, standing and climbing up and down ladders.
- Work environment is mostly in a factory environment with some outside work.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
