Manufacturing Supervisor - Food Production Facility (Full Time)

Regular : Full-time with benefits.

Day shift : 6 : 30 to 5 : 30 pm.

Monday through Thursday.

3-day weekends off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Salary : Paid bi-weekly.

With over 40 years in fundraising, we manufacture gourmet frozen food products for school fundraisers nationwide and for food industry clients.

Under the direction of the Production / Food Safety & Quality Manager. The Production Food Supervisor will oversee the production areas and daily activities of the production associates.

Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, focusing on quality, production yield and people development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Experienced with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Adheres to and complies with all food safety, food quality, HACCP, OSHA and GMP policies and standards.
• Understands the line flow and system settings to produce steady product flow to maximize productivity.
• Mentor / Coach, motivates, and engages staff in all aspects of operations to support the Choice culture .
• Communicate with Production Manager on staffing needs.
• Monitor production area, ensure efficiencies are met.
• Ensures operational adherence to the production planning schedule.
• Act as the production line expert from raw materials to finished goods.
• Executing production deadlines, to ensure customer products with on time deliveries.
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the production areas.
• Ability to complete daily paperwork and documentation on time and accurately.
• Ability to investigate and provide problem resolutions.
• Ensures staff are following all food safety and work safety practices.
• Collect product samples for Micro Biological testing.
• Valuable contributor to the management team.
• Collaborates with all members of the organization.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minium of 2 years of Manufacturing experience, or other equivalent experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experienced in GMP’s, FDA, Sanitation standards.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal sills.
• Bilingual preferred, not necessary.
• Food Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft 365, internet, Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Detailed oriented nature and ability to adapt to change.

Physical requirements :

Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, bending at waist, turning / twisting, use of fingers, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, repetitive motions and lift up to 50#.
