Education : Completion of high school with two or more years specialized training in Administrative Assistant area preferred.

Must be a team player with ability to collaborate interdepartmentally and with staff. Capacity to multi-task with computer programs.
Minimum of 2 year’s experience with hospital insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's and PPO's. Excellent typing and computer skills.
Familiarity with area managed care plans and contractual terms. Ability to self-direct and exercise independent judgment in situations requiring follow-up.
Works well in a team environment to accomplish common tasks to solve problems and enhance the smooth and efficient flow of the department.
Knowledge of essential general office procedures.Knowledge in scheduling and maintaining multiple calendars. Proficient use of all office machines printer, copier, scanner, fax, and digital recording devices.
Internet experience required. Maintains a wide range of administrative skills necessary to perform the assigned job skills.
Ability to establish priorities and maintain flexibility. Position SummaryMajor job function is to support Leadership Team within the JMCPG Business Office and Revenue Integrity.
Evaluates and directs internal and external customer and vendor calls. Manages, schedules appointments, and meetings. Helps resolve conflicting calendar appointments.
Ensures the Director / Manager is not caught off guard with meetings that may impact the CFO, other Senior Leaders, or other Revenue Cycle Directors.
Maintains administrative records, minutes and legal documents, schedules meetings and distributes notices and minutes, accurately maintains files, screens correspondence and visits, exercises independent judgement, knows, and utilizes JMC philosophies, policies, and goals, deals with the public, patients, and their family members, staff, physicians, and management in an informative, helpful, and friendly manner, is tactful, diplomatic, and discreet.
Accurately distributes correspondence and answers routine correspondence. As requested by the Director, helps manage emails so communications from critical stakeholders are handled timely.
Communicates effectively with the CFO’s Executive Assistant and other Revenue Cycle Director’s administrative assistant(s).
Timely sorts and routes incoming and interoffice mail. Timely sorts of AP invoices for payment, codes and acquires approval for JMCPG Business Office and Revenue Integrity Department invoices.
Organizes and maintains files and other office information (i.e. policy and procedure manuals, department roster, seating chart, hurricane list, fire marshal list, etc.
Takes minutes, transcribes, and distributes agendas and minutes from department meetings. Investigates budget / expense discrepancies for correct departmental charges.
Orders all office supplies, accounts for receipt of said supplies and maintains appropriate inventory. Organizes and follows through with department maintenance repair calls.
Maintains the confidentially of team member’s records and any related work. Performs other duties as assigned.
