Position Overview :
This position helps drives strategic, insight-driven decisions across the organization. The incumbent plays a consultative role in solving knowledge gaps, amplifying the voice of the client and championing dynamic insights.
This includes designing and executing client primary market research studies and gathering and synthesizing secondary data sources.
Essential Functions :
- Works directly with business units and department leaders to identify opportunities for ad-hoc research projects that support their business strategy.
- Monitors consumer and business trends and works with business leaders and the Marketing team to share information that will drive marketing and business decisions for organizational growth and innovation opportunities.
- Partners closely with business unit leaders on required action plans, report development or survey adjustments. Includes reviewing survey counts, duplication of surveys, auditing for errors and making sure the reports have the information leadership needs to manage effectiveness of the survey.
- Leads external vendors to execute on desired studies and provides guidance on sampling and programming expectations to ensure data is highly reliable and trusted throughout the organization.
Works with Business Technology and Sales on data integration and input on surveys.
- Designs insight summaries and presentations of findings and shares with management and / or executive leadership to assist with active strategic decision making.
- Leads the development and design of insight activation sessions including facilitating workshops, brainstorming on implications and potential solutions, and creating action plans.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Bachelor's degree in market research, marketing, business, economics, mathematics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in marketing, market research or other applicable experience. Experience in the financial / agriculture industry preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years leading quantitative and qualitative market research studies.
- Expert experience turning business questions into research questions that lead to tangible outcomes.
- Expert experience in utilizing research to inform executive decisions.
- Expert knowledge in advanced quantitative research methodologies, including ATUs, market segmentation, choice modeling, etc.
- Expert knowledge of statistical methods, such as regression analysis, cluster analysis, perceptual maps, conjoint analysis, discriminant analysis and others.
- Expert knowledge with Qualtrics, or similar statistical software.
- Expert knowledge with qualitative research and / or syndicated data.
- Advanced expertise in Excel and PowerPoint as well as proven data visualization skills.
- Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
- Valid driver's license.
