Description :
Work with students who has physical disabilities, injuries, or mobility challenges. Aim to improve students’ physical functioning independence, and participation in school activities
Qualifications :
- Master degree in physical therapy
- Valid State certification
- Staying updated on the latest therapeutic techniques and educational regulations
Skills :
- Evaluate students’ physical abilities and limitation
- Develop personalize treatment plans to address specific needs, improve mobility, and enhance independence
- Administer therapeutic exercises to increase strength, flexibility and motor skills
- Recommend and use adaptive equipment or assistive devices to aid mobility and function
- Work closely with educator, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and support for the student
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and the effectiveness of treatments
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to provide guidance and support.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children and their families
- Advocate for students’ physical therapy needs within the school system and promote their inclusion.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and providing support in case of injuries or medical issue. Job Detail :
