About the Role :

Gladstone seeks a laboratory aide to provide support for the Gladstone Institute of Data Science and Biotechnology.

What you will do :

• Cleaning and autoclaving of glassware.
• Preparation of reagents and plates according to lab protocols or instructions from scientists.
• Handling biohazard, chemical, and radioactive waste in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Maintenance of tissue culture facilities, including autoclaving, incubators, and cleaning biosafety cabinets.
• Setting up conference rooms for meetings or events.
• Maintaining and organizing lab inventory.
• General laboratory housekeeping duties.

What you will need :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Scientific Background : Not required.
• Skills : Organized, flexible, and capable of working efficiently in a collaborative, fast-paced, and diverse environment.
• Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Adherence to laboratory safety guidelines and practices.
• Physical Ability : Must be able to perform moderate lifting.

Hiring Range :

$22.00 hr - $26.61 / hr
