Functioning for 70 years, the Housing Authority of Joliet (HAJ) has been at the forefront and steadfastly committed to bringing exceptional housing services and programs to the people of the City of Joliet, and surrounding Will County communities.
We are seeking a dynamic, gritty and self-sufficient assistant to the Assistant Financial Analyst. This is a temp-to-perm position (permanent position is based on performance).
Responsibilities :
- Organize an excel database with contact information for each of the housing agencies we work with. Collaborate with manager and other employees if necessary.
- Add portals available to this same excel database.
- Document how payment details are received from these other housing agencies.
- Update software system with contact & portal information.
- Direct all other housing agencies to send payment details to our new community inbox via email, letter or phone if necessary.
- Communicate timely with manager to meet deadlines.
- Work in a fast pace environment.
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Enter escrow journal amounts for retroactive balances of the family self-sufficiency program.
- Work with manager to review and ensure accuracy of write off for administrative fees that are deemed uncollectable.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Investigate receivable balance for month to month and year over year variances.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma required, associates degree preferred.
- Intermediate Excel skills required. Pay :
- $25 / hr
