As a Controller, Finance , you will oversee financial operations at the Associate Director / Director level. This role will be a key figure in implementing robust financial processes, systems, and reporting structures, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and reinforcing internal controls.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help manage complex accounting issues, optimize financial practices, and support audits.

This high-visibility role will report to the VP of Finance and will be central in scaling our organization’s finance operations.

What You'll Do :

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in monthly financial close activities according to US GAAP, providing clear, timely reporting to leadership, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop sustainable financial reporting processes and scalable payroll management systems that meet the needs of a growing organization.
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis, providing insights into variances and opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue optimization.
  • Drive the design and implementation of internal controls and new financial systems, ensuring robust financial practices and data integrity.
  • Draft and review technical accounting memos on significant transactions, new standards, and critical judgments, ensuring compliance and clarity.
  • Manage share-based compensation accounting, cap table maintenance, and equity administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare schedules supporting tax provisions, analyses, and periodic compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth completion of annual audits, addressing any compliance or reporting issues proactively.

What You'll Bring :

  • BS or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field; CPA Certification required.
  • 7+ years in Accounting, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical sector, with experience in publicly traded companies or a Big 4 firm.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including SEC filings, collaboration agreements, consolidation, lease accounting, and share-based compensation accounting.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred; familiarity with implementing financial systems a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all management levels.
  • Proven ability to lead projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of professionalism and adaptability.
  • Actively contribute to building an inclusive culture within across the organization, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
