Job Title : Student TA - ANI-350-A 3D Animation Specialist (Daly), F24

Reports to : Dan Daly

Essential Functions :

Assist 3D animation students with all software issues and problems; critique student animation and provide animation tutoring.

Primary job duties and responsibilities :

• Tutor after-hours help students work through their issues and problems in regard to animation assignments.
• Work with the instructor during and after course lab hours to facilitate feedback and communication during small group discussions if possible.
• Report issues, ideas, course improvements, student issues, and progress updates on a regular basis, in writing, to the Instructor.
• Work with the students during lab hours when available to provide technical and animation feedback.
• Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked.

Qualifications include :

• Must have a strong foundation in 3D animation, and rigging.
• Able to listen and communicate with students effectively and at their level of understanding.
• Must be willing and able to help students solve problems not just identify problems.
• Must be able to work well with the instructor in the classroom as well as for planning and strategy.

Experience :

Attended and completed ANI-101, ANI-151, ANI-300, and ANI-350 previously, achieving a minimum B grade.

Working Conditions :

• Be able to work the lab hours every week, if required.
• Be able to meet with students in off-hours scheduling these ahead of time or working with students whenever you are available works better than regular office hours.

Expected number of hours per week : 4-6

Wage Range : $16.28 - 17.25 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen.

DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements :

• Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
• Good Academic Standing not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Have taken and passed ANI-101, ANI-151, ANI-300, and ANI-350 with a B or better.

Requirement Exceptions : It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
