About the Job
Here at Kissaki, we are looking for a chef to prepare / execute sushi and other Japanese apps / dishes in accordance with food, health, safety regulations, and restaurant standards.
The candidate must have a full understanding of how to accommodate customers' dietary / allergy considerations.
Responsibilities :
- Cutting, chopping, slicing, and fileting different types of produce / proteins (especially different types of fish).
- Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, fish, and other foods used to prepare dishes and informing the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard.
- Preparing various dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
- Sterilizing all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before / during / after every use.
- Ensuring that all prep list / checklist and any ordering need is being done every day for consistency purposes.
Requirements :
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining the best product quality.
