To collect, accession and process specimens according to policy, under the direction and supervision of the Laboratory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
40% 1. Collects appropriate blood specimens according to Specimen Collection Manual and Reference
Laboratory Manuals.
40%2. Accessions all specimens and resolves problems connected with test orders.
10% 3. Provides quality customer service.
5%4. Cross trains in other non-phlebotomy skills to help out in the Laboratory. Goes to Outreach
Facilities to collect or pick up Laboratory specimens
5%5. Promotes patient safety by compliance with Organizational / Departmental policies and procedures as well as all regulatory agencies.
Job Qualifications : QUALIFICATIONS :
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
B. Experience : Phlebotomy experience preferred
C. Other Skills : Must have driver's license, vehicle in good operating condition and proof of adequate automobile insurance, BLS Certification required, excellent interpersonal and team building skills
