As the Advanced Training Specialist, you will provide On the Job Training instruction on TACNET and other Navy C4ISR systems, network and system administration.

In this role, you will :
- Conduct Classroom Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Mobile Team Training (MTT) in the systems management, cybersecurity, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of CANES.
- Implement and execute CANES instructor-led or facilitated training courses.
- Provide subject matter expertise to test and maintain curriculum.
- Administer knowledge tests and remediation practices.
- Provide technical reviews and edits for current and emerging CANES curricula.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have :
- An active DoD Secret clearance
- United States Citizenship
- The ability to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card)
- A high school diploma or GED with 4+ years of related experience
- Three (3) years of professional training experience in the training development environment
- Experience in three (3) of the following four (4) areas :
- Network Administration
- System Administration
- Technical Documentation
- Training
- Demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed
Additional desired experience and skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
- Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET systems.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair TACNET systems as an individual and in team situations.
- Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment.
- Experience in training TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems
- Defining training requirements.
- Experience with use of Navy Authoring tools (CPM / LOM, AIM, etc.) to develop Navy training curriculum.
- Experience with application of Instructional System Design (ISD) process.
