ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBLITIES
- Ensure that all assigned duties are implemented according to Indian Rivers Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all assigned duties are implemented according to Department of Mental Health policies and standards.
- Ensure all safety, fire prevention, and health measures are followed while on duty.
- Maintain a complex database and management information system, including SQL servers, ensuring proper operation, adding or deleting user accounts as needed.
- Supervise IT Staff and handle all employee issues and work collaboratively with Human Resources.
- Assist users with PC and phone operations, i.e. log-in, voicemail, general user information.
- Access, store, back-up and retrieve data.
- Maintain Avatar, trouble shooting errors, maintaining user access.
- Send files to the State Department of Mental Health.
- Maintain all company software systems, security protocols such as MFA, and serve as the "security officer"; control user access; backup databases.
- Provide needed trainings to all IRBH employees regarding network and database security, such as phishing trainings and use of MFA.
- Maintain Domain Controller giving users access to the network, adding or deleting user accounts as necessary.
- Maintain Exchange server (email), monitor SPAM and intrusion attempts.
- Maintain Web server; design and maintain the organization's web page.
- Maintain Anti-Virus server; monitor for viruses. Ensure definitions are up to date.
- Maintain all routers and switches, cabling, and internet connections.
- Set up computers for staff as requested, relocating as needed; load software.
- Set up printers and fax machines as requested.
- Maintain asset management process and database.
- Maintain phone systems, create voice mail boxes, replace telephones and / or call for service.
- Respond to user requests or problems in operating their computers in a timely manner.
- Maintain all employee time clocks for entire agency.
- Support the CFO, HR Director, Clinical Director and Executive Director in working towards the company's business objectives.
- Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisor.
- Keep up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments.
- Maintain communication and awareness of current Organization events by reading memos, emails, bulletin boards, and communication logs.
- Work independently and / or with teams to complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
- Support Organizational Code of Conduct, Standards Compliance, HIPAA and Security Programs by ensuring job tasks are performed in a legal and ethical manner, assessing the work area for non-compliance and notifying the supervisor, manager, Executive Director or designee as appropriate, and maintaining training requirements and understanding that training is a required condition of employment.
- Maintain the confidential nature of all consumer and Organization related activities by not divulging information outside the facility, discussing information within the facility on a need-to-know basis, acknowledging policy annually by signing confidentiality statement, and by referring media and general inquiries to the Executive Director.
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality policy by allowing adequate time to arrive, clock-in and assume responsibilities at designated time, adhering to meal and break times and making timely requests for annual leave and reporting the need for sick leave in accordance with policy.
- Demonstrate the skills necessary to keep the business operations of Indian Rivers on task and up-to-date.
- Devote 40 hours per week to the completion of duties as outlined in the job description. More than 40 hours of work per week may be required to meet job responsibilities and deadlines.
- Comply with all standards related to safety and health by maintaining current TB Test, CPR / First Aid, CPI, and by reporting infections and on-the-job injuries in accordance with policy.
- Identify opportunities for improving the quality of services provided by the department and the organization.
- Administers organizations wireless phone accounts and devices and maintains VOIP phone server and phone systems
- Maintains and administers organizations video communications and devices.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate's or technical degree and minimum 2 years of MIS / IT experience OR
- Bachelor's degree in CS / CIS / MIS and minimum 1 year of MIS / IT experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Applications
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Current driver's license and good driving record as defined by Indian Rivers' policy.
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.

Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, computer, copier, multi-line phone and fax machine.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Some bending, stooping and / or lifting will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Some risk involved in the event of aggressive / out-of-control consumers. Must possess a valid Alabama driver's license.
