Prince Telecom is currently hiring qualified Fiber Technicians to join our team to help connect America. Fiber optic splicers use special tools to manipulate cables and create new or maintain connections.

Prince Telecom offers a wide range of services that includes : residential and commercial installations, digital converter deployment, high speed modem installations, home security and automation, underground and aerial construction services and special projects such as MDU construction, drop rebuilds and audits.

Perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of fiber. Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation.

Self-supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.

Field train and control / oversee the work of other Splicers when necessary. Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-built maps" for areas built and track daily production.

Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts. Frequently work independently.

Splicing related duties as assigned. Use hand tools and other equipment required. Setting up a safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers.

Flagging traffic when required. You are at least 18 years old You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience You are authorized to work in the United States You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent You have effective communication skills You are able to travel and work extended hours;
