Job Description
We are looking for a full-time CAD Draftsperson to join our dynamic production team. As a member of our fast-paced, cutting-edge group, you will work with Architects, Engineers, and construction specialists to draft construction logistics drawings and Site Safety Plans for industry-leading developers and construction managers.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from start to finish, including site visits, client communication, and drafting site safety plans and construction logistics drawings.
- Work collaboratively in a team overseeing project design, logistics, and administration.
- Review DOB-CSC unit objections and ensure compliance with Building Code, client preferences, and design intent.
- Prepare and file site safety plans / drawings with the DOB.
- Meet with NYC Department of Buildings Plan Examiners to review and obtain approvals for Site Safety Plans.
- Maintain good drafting skills, balancing CAD drafting, project management, and coordination.
- Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of drawing sets.
- Perform site visits for measurements and research.
- Develop presentation materials such as plans, diagrams, and details.
- Communicate with clients regarding project goals and updates.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader, and Excel.2-5 years of experience in architectural design or CAD drafting, with at least 1 year in project coordination or management.Proficiency in CAD software and AutoCAD; REVIT knowledge is a plus.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks.Strong leadership and relationship management skills.Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.Working knowledge of NYC Building Code, Chapter 33 Safeguards During Construction, Demolition, OSHA, NYC Fire Code, and NYC DOT regulations.Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field; college students in their final year of Civil Engineering, Construction, or related fields are encouraged to apply.Benefits
