Job Description
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct all the daily activities related to the studies.
- Act proactively to identify and solve problems and / or potential problems that may arise during each study.
- Set up and conduct experiments in accordance with the labs Protocols and SOPs.
- Efficiently conduct studies with minimal supervision.
- Accurately perform and record all data collected from the studies.
- Maintain meticulous and precise records of all experiments in accordance with GLP’s.
- Follow all lab safety requirements.
- The Scientist must join the weekend work rotation, after cross-training and certification.
- Help during other studies, as needed.
- Assist in the writing of reports, protocols and SOP’s.
- Write-out necessary amendments and deviations.
- Revise, update and maintain the study data packs.
- Ability to safely wear a respirator required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. degree in Toxicology, Animal Science, Biology, or Laboratory Animal Medicine is strongly preferred, equivalent hands-on laboratory experience may also be taken into consideration.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
The individual holding this position must be of highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility and be proactive.
He / she must be mature, well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records.
Computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s) and a strong work ethic are essential requirements for this position.
Adherence to GLP’s is of utmost importance.
