Job Description
The Case Manager (CM) leads a team of Foster Families. You are their go-to person for any questions, help, advice, encouragement.
We all work together as a team to help each other, provide resources, and cover for each other. Breaks and vacations are encouraged and we have a large group to help out when you are not available.
There are resources and assistance in every area that involves fostering to help you. We start you very slowly so you can learn on the job.
You start just e-shadowing the group so you can observe all the daily conversations for all things fostering (on Workplace).
Then slowly you will be given a small caseload of fosters for yourself. You have daily access to leadership and other CMs for assistance.
Daily check in with Workplace and Baserow is necessary, but weekends / holidays are very quiet except for urgent issues or the rare emergency.
Home visits to get to know your fosters are encouraged as appropriate, and you will be trained to give vaccines and dewormers to the pups on your caseload that are in your area.
Fosters that are out of your area come into Spokane to meet you for vaccines. Involvement in Intakes, Adoption Events, transporting pups, fostering, and anything involving supportive care for sick pups are all voluntary and not a required part of being a Case Manager.
You will be trained to use software such as Workplace, Baserow, and Google shared docs.
