Medix is hiring for a Medical Biller in the Liberty area! This is a fully onsite position! This role offers room for growth and advancement! If you're looking to work with a group that feels like family, this is the role for you! The company is great & the people are even better here!
Role Overview :
- Making calls to insurance companies to do follow ups on denials (This is primary responsibility, will mainly be working denials)
- Charge entry
- Following up with the Doctor during charge review if notes made by the Doctor are unclear
- They work with a large number of Medicare patients given they are a podiatry office
- They will be in the same room as the two Senior Billers, they are available to help and shadow during training
- Not held to any specific metric of how many charges to enter per day but they will be measured by observation
Schedule : M-F 8 : 00-5 : 00
Location : Liberty, MO
Pay : $20-25 / hr
Requirements :
- 2+ years of Medical Billing Experience
- Comfortable with charge entry, follow ups, denials, aging reports
- Comfortable on the phone with insurance companies doing follow up, as well as comfortable on the phone with patients
