Job Title : Mitigation Manager
Location : Duluth, Minnesota & Superior, Wisconsin
Position Overview :
The Mitigation Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the Mitigation and Contents team in terms of operational performance, team management, and customer satisfaction.
This position focuses on recruiting, onboarding, training, and managing the team, as well as maintaining high standards for project delivery and team member development.
Reporting To : Head of Operations / Leadership Team
Supervises : Project Managers, Technicians, and Production Coordinators
Core Responsibilities :
Team Management : Recruit, onboard, train, and retain team members. Lead and supervise Project Managers and Technicians while maintaining a positive team culture and handling personnel documentation (e.
g., new hires, terminations, etc.).
- Operational Oversight : Develop and implement mitigation operations plans aligned with company objectives. Manage team scheduling, vehicle dispatch, and resource allocation.
- Job Costing & Administration : Review and approve timecards, spiff requests, PTO, and invoices. Ensure proper tracking and reporting of all financial and operational metrics.
- Customer Relations : Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Performance Evaluation : Conduct regular performance evaluations with team members and facilitate ongoing development through feedback and leadership training.
- Project Management : Coordinate and oversee job costing, temporary labor, and project timelines. Ensure that all jobs are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in mitigation, restoration, or emergency response
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with managing financials, payroll, and invoicing processes
- Familiarity with scheduling, resource allocation, and employee development

Additional Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with other departments to support business development efforts
- Participate in collections and payment processes with customers
- Engage in continuous leadership development and skills certification programs
- Attend team meetings and site visits as necessary to ensure project success
- Respond to emergency situations and lead the team during high-demand periods
Working Hours :
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with after-hours availability as needed, including weekends and holidays.
