Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant, you will work under the CFO, in collaboration with the Staff Accountant and Senior Staff Accountant.

This role will initially require in-office presence, with the ability to transition to a hybrid work arrangement following training.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and be able to multitask effectively.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within our organization as we are in a period of rapid growth. Location : Clearwater, FL (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities : Recording Transactions : Enter financial transactions into the accounting software and / or spreadsheets.

This includes invoices, payments, expenses, and receipts. Assist with month and year end close processes. Accounts Payable : Process vendor invoices for payment, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment.

Maintain records of accounts payable and reconcile statements. Accounts Receivable : Generate customer invoices, track payments received, and follow up on overdue accounts.

Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and prepare aging reports. General Ledger : Assist with maintaining the general ledger by reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations and standards.

Software Proficiency : Utilize accounting software (e.g., Business Central, etc.) and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) proficiently to perform duties efficiently.

Communication : Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and clients to resolve issues and provide financial information as needed.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and contribute to implementing best practices.

Qualifications : Previous experience (internship or entry-level position) in accounting preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Benefits : Competitive salary and benefits package.
