Financial Counselor Full Time Days

Responsibilities

Provides financial information to clients, verifies accuracy and completeness of patient financial records prior to outpatient service, scheduled inpatient admission and / or inpatient discharge when the admission has been unplanned.

Ensures that financial arrangements are completed according to the financial policies and procedures. Performs Quality Assurance reviews on registrations and reports the results to the Admissions Supervisor weekly.

Screens patients for county / charity assistance. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Knowledge of insurance requirements and / or third-party reimbursement

Able to communicate effectively and demonstrate service excellence through appropriate response and use of constructive problem-solving techniques when confronted with different people or situations

Previous computer entry experience and able to type 40 WPM with accuracy in spelling

Use of effective communication skills which foster positive outcomes. Able to maintain a high awareness of patient satisfaction and teamwork.

Able to pay attention to detail and work in a stressful environment
