This position is responsible for establishing and developing relationships with manufacturer owners and leaders to build trust and discover company needs.
The position will utilize an enterprise-wide approach to organizational transformation. It will act as a resource and point of contact to Southern Idaho economic development partners and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team designed to offer food manufacturing clients access to a wide range of valuable services and resources.
The position will provide technical and training assistance to Idaho’s small and medium manufacturers to help them improve their profits, products, and services.

Minimum Requirements
- Five years of experience working in, consulting with, or selling to a food manufacturer
- Implementing continuous improvement manufacturing principles
- Using computer applications including word processing, CRM databases, and spreadsheet software
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, food science, manufacturing, or business
Required Other
- Must meet the University of Idaho requirements for driving a vehicle
- Possession of a valid driver’s license for travel throughout the region and the state is required
Additional Preferred
- Master’s Degree in engineering, food science, manufacturing, business, or related field
- Experience in the following :
- Working as a consultant and ability to develop relationships with senior leadership and supervisory roles
- Leading organizations and managing projects that create transformational change
- Decision making on and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies
