Job Summary
Responsible for the instruction of Yoga classes, developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and administer yoga technique.
Possesses the ability to fully demonstrate yoga positions. Motivates participants of various abilities and fitness levels using physiologically sound and biomechanically safe methods.
Demonstrates the ability to adapt yoga instruction to various ages and fitness levels. Responsible of keeping up-to-date with yoga practices and applying new knowledge to classes.
Possess the ability to talk teach, teaching the techniques with full detail, so the participants do not need to look at the demonstration.
Responsible for the maintenance of the yoga mats and additional equipment used, ensuring mats are cleaned after each class.
Responsible for reporting any havoc or sound issues. Adjusts the temperature of yoga room when necessary and appropriate.
Responsible for completing all mandatory Sanford Trainings as required.
Qualifications
Certified Yoga Teacher by Registered Yoga School (RYS) standard required. Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) preferred. Basic Life Support certification required.
For facilities teach prenatal yoga, an additional 85 hours to obtain registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certification (RPYT) is required of instructors.
