Position : Warehouse Clerk & Forklift Driver
Description : We are currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk & Forklift Driver who possesses experience and proficiency in operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and electric pallet jacks.
This multifaceted role requires a candidate who can efficiently perform warehouse duties while also demonstrating expertise in safely maneuvering PIT equipment.
As a Warehouse Clerk & Forklift Driver, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse facility.
Responsibilities :
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move, stack, and retrieve materials as required.
- Utilize PIT equipment to load and unload trucks, palletize goods, and transport items within the warehouse.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including counting, sorting, and organizing merchandise.
- Assist in receiving and verifying incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking and packing items according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, organizing storage areas, and disposing of packaging materials.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet production deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating PIT equipment and performing warehouse tasks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts and audits as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating PIT equipment in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficient in the use of electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
