We are currently seeking candidates for our Meriden location :
Utility Person - Shipping & Receiving / Plant Responsibilities :
- Package and ship product per customer specifications
- Create shipping labels, paperwork and documentation from ERP system (LN System a PLUS), customer portals and shipping company websites
- Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and / or forklifts
- Receive and verify incoming materials and products
- Move materials and products to and from stock / Production
- Cycle counting, packing and shipping
- Drive company vehicles to deliver parts to and from outside service suppliers
- Issue purchase orders
- Utilize equipment to perform plant cleaning operations, this includes, floor scrubbers, outside and inside rubbish removal, and equipment cleaning.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Lift or carry up to 50 pounds, Push or pull up to 100 pounds, Stand, walk, handle, reach outward and above shoulder, and squat occasionally
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing Shipping / Receiving
- Thorough understanding of types of shipments and associated requirements and paperwork with an ERP system.
- Excellent organization, communication, and math skills.
- Basic understanding of bills of materials and manufacturing resource planning (MRP)
- Ability to adapt to our process and systems and incorporate solutions into the company’s infrastructure and operating system
- Effectively use various ERP sessions for shipping, receiving, material issues, inventory transactions, sales order maintenance, and MRP
- Strong customer service attitude
