- assess needs and make recommendations and / or referrals as appropriateRefer patients to physician, and / or specialist as necessaryResponsible for the work-up and follow up of patients seen in the officeChecks preoperative laboratory, EKG and x-ray data;
- any significant abnormal finding should be addressed timely and reported to the attending surgeon when appropriateWrites preoperative orders according to patient needs and departmental guidelinesNotifies attending surgeon of any issues regarding patient that potentially will delay / cancel procedureMaintains proficiency in field by attending coursesShall comply with Rules and Regulations of the department as they apply to physician assistantsShall comply with Rules and Regulations of the hospital where credentialed pertaining to Medical Records, codes / emergencies / disasters, professional and ethical standardsTraining of other students as requestedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.PAY RANGE : $100,000.00 - $150,000.00The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.
It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
