Job Role / Summary :

Aftermarket Field Sales Manager For the Class 8 Truck and Commercial Trailer Industry. Position will grow existing accounts both Warehouse Distributor and Trucking Fleet pull through.

To organize and coordinate sales activity in the Aftermarket Heavy Duty Division for territorial Warehouse Distributor accounts as well as develop long term relationships with area fleets (end-user).

The main focus of concentration should be on growing territory sales through supporting the WD base and managing the end-user (fleet) use / spec of our products.

Job Responsibilities :

Essential & Secondary Functions :

Safety :

Responsible to follow all safety procedures and practices.

Quality :

Ensures and maintains the quality guidelines, procedures, and standards are consistently followed throughout the manufacturing operation.

Responsibility & Customer-Focused :

  • Customer Contact Fosters, maintains, and drives business through key customer relationships with all territory accounts and their sales management and sales forces.
  • Market definition Analyzes new market potential and long term growth for key new accounts.
  • Works with National Fleet Manager to develop and roll-out territory fleet plans and targets.
  • Rolls out and develops business plans for key accounts identified each year by Regional Manager Heavy Duty.
  • Implements promotions to help grow key account sales.
  • Organizes field sales work with key Distributor accounts.
  • Attends some key National trade shows and regional shows where needed.
  • Travel As needed approximate 80% (+ or 10%) out of office.

Integrity :

  • Maintains and implements provided pricing structure within territory.
  • Maintains budgets and expenses to expected levels and guidelines.

Respect & Family :

  • Works closely with the Regional Manager to assure the programs will be on track and worked on.
  • Manages, educates, and instructs customer sales force and fleet personnel.
  • Works closely with the region sales management to increase the fleet effort and expected results Gaining the aftermarket replacement program and the spec.

Other Functions :

  • Follows other instructions and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education, Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses :

Degree or equivalent experience :

Bachelor’s Degree Business Marketing preferred (or proven industry success / experience).

Years of experience :

5 years preferred.

Training in :

Successfully completed the Grote 101 sales training.

Licenses in :

As required.

Certifications in :

As required.

Other requirements :

  • Customer / Account knowledge (established relationships preferred)
  • Must successfully pass any pre-screening test(s).
