The Controller / VP of Finance and HR position reports directly to the CEO / Owner and this person will be groomed for the CFO position.
Who : An experienced, hands-on Construction Controller
What : Manage accounting processes, cash flow, forecasting, banking relationships, budgeting, insurance compliance, financial reporting, and tax preparation. Facets of Human Resources

This is an in-office position.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferred experience in the construction industry
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to review and redefine accounting processes and controls.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting :
- Update cash flow projections weekly for 10 weeks ahead
- Update job forecasts weekly or monthly
- Understand cash flow and cash needs before each project starts
- Ensure accounts receivable, minus retainage, is less than 45 days
- Manage banking relationships and treasury functions
- Oversee budgeting processes
- Ensure company insurance compliance
- Handle financial reporting and tax preparation
- Human Resource responsibilities as needed
Requirements :
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- Construction Industry Experience Preferred
