Brother John's Beer, Bourbon & BBQ is seeking highly motivated, experienced beverage service professionals to help provide genuine and friendly service that is responsive to all of your guests' needs resulting in an exceptional eating and drinking experience.
Each bartenders primary objective is to meet the needs of our guests and servers by making cocktails, pouring draught beer and servicing guests at the bar.
Essential job functions include :
- Mixing and making cocktails accurately for both guests and the service well
- Making all bar guests feel comfortable while providing personal service while guiding them through our menus to enhance their guest experience by offering and describing cocktails and menu items in an inviting way
- The ability to explain flavor profiles of whiskeys and beer to guests and answer questions regarding styles and flavors
Bartenders will be expected to follow responsible alcohol service standards to ensure guest safety
Requirements include :
Must have the ability to learn Brother John's menu in order to answer guests' questions and make suggestions Must have knowledge of alcoholic service laws and standards and complete Arizona Title 4 Certification
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money in order to quickly and accurately make change for the guests and to accurately perform cash out at the end of the shift
Must be able to operate a point-of-sale system
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver boxes and kegs weighing up to 50 pounds
Be able to bend and reach as necessary during the shifted are able to work in hot and cold environments.

- the ability to read and / or follow written and verbal instructions and implement at the same; the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form;
