Patient Support Specialist

Pay : 18.38 - 20.00 / hr on W2

As a Patient Support Specialist, you will assist patients in accessing prescription medications through copay assistance programs.

Your role involves communicating with patients, doctors, and pharmacies, ensuring smooth access to care and providing support throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist patients, physicians, and pharmacies with medication access and reimbursement.
  • Provide empathetic, patient-focused service, ensuring a positive experience and helping with program eligibility and adherence.
  • Refer complex issues to other teams like Program Management or IT when needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, case management, or a high-volume contact center preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and medical billing is a plus.
  • Experience with call center software and third-party systems (e.g., SelectRx, Five9) is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and adaptability.
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish is a plus.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to adapt, and a passion for helping patients.
