Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology physician job in California : Join our team of nationally and internationally recognized experts in advanced heart failure.

As an NP with the UCSF Advanced Heart Failure Comprehensive Care Center, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn and manage patients with advanced heart failure, heart transplants, LVADs, and pulmonary hypertension.
8-hour shift. Days, evenings, weekends. .9 FTE.
On call and night shift; and two weekends (Saturday and Sunday) per month.
Required Qualifications :
One (1) year of NP experience, and 3 years RN experience in advanced heart failure, MCS, heart transplant, pulmonary hypertension, or cardiology.
License / Certification :
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.
- Must hold current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.

- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Obtain an active and / or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.
It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.
CSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day.
Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
