As part of a passionate and accomplished team of Integration Technicians, you will directly impact the future of space flight and help us make progress towards our mission of building the road to space through reusable rockets.

You will also share in the team’s impact on all aspects of fabrication, maintenance and operation of mechanical systems used in rocket engine testing, including :

• Diesel mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Fabrication and routing of pneumatic pressurization and propellant tubing
• Working knowledge of cryogenics and Cryogenic safety
• Test article integration and checkout
• Reviewing, editing and following Test Procedures
• Operation of test facility
• General trouble shooting of instrumentation, valves, Pumps, Hydraulics, etc

You will be working with engineers on design concepts / improvements and development tests, and planning the assembly steps for complex mechanical installations.

Minimum Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience operating, and maintaining large diesel engines
• Demonstrated ability to work with : Test, flight and safety critical hardwareStandard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment, Band saw, Cornice Break, Tube Bender Flaring and facing machines and Drill Press.
• 5+ years of experience with pneumatic systems, propellant loading and off-loading systems
• Experience with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safety
• Ability to read and interpret drawings 3D modeling (CREO)
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, install, and maintain various mechanical components on diesel engines (ALCO preferred)
• Experience in operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to gain access to Redstone Arsenal

Preferred Qualifications :

• Thorough knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) O.E.M. maintenance instructions and procedures for ALCO Diesel
• Experience in rocket engine test facility support, testing rocket or jet engines or closely related applications.
• Experience in propulsion facility / system maintenance, Pumps, Valves Regulators, pneumatic system build up to include interpreting P&ID’s and Panel fabrication.
• Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum for structural fabrication of panels
• Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, and cryogenics LOX, H2 and LNG
• Stick, MIG / TIG, orbital welding experience
