MIT Ultrasound Technologist

Location : Long Beach, California

Responsibilities : Included but not limited to

• Take patients medical history before an exam and prepare each patient for their scan
• Always follow proper sterilization procedures
• Ultrasound Procedures Skills : Abdomen, Pelvis, Head / Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Aspirations, Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, Drainage, CTA and Multiplanar Reconstruction
• Perform tube warm-ups and calibrations daily on the equipment
• Multiplanar Reconstructions : EPIC, GE, BLS and ARRT
• Help physicians interpret radiological images after exams have been completed
• Operate head or body Xray scanners which will create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT scan
• Patient car that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures by providing precise and detailed instructions

Requirement and Experience :

• Contain an unrestricted, active, current, and full ARRT Certification
• At least one year of experience as a Ultrasound Technologist
