Overview :
We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to operate machinery and produce high-quality precision components at our client in Lake Forest.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail.
Pay Rate : $25-35 / hr (Depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate manual mills, and other machinery to fabricate precision parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure and inspect completed components to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure efficient operation.
- Monitor the machining process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar role.
- Proficient in operating manual machinery and using precision measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
