Responsibilities : Project Management :
Project Management :
Support the AVP of Nurse Learning & Scholarship in managing and prioritizing departmental transformation projects.
Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and utilization.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders.
Analyze department data and staffing needs to inform project prioritization and resource allocation.
Assist with onboarding new department members and integrating them into project teams.
Facilitate project meetings, documenting key decisions and action items.
Track resource utilization and report on project progress and outcomes.
Process Improvement and Streamlining :
Collaborate with clinical faculty and program assistants to identify opportunities for process improvement within the department.
Analyze existing workflows and data to identify inefficiencies and areas for streamlining.
Collaborate with department and team leaders to identify their teams' unmet or future needs and develop efficient workflows to address them.
Utilize strong management skills to implement process changes, navigate conflicting priorities, and ensure smooth adoption by affected teams.
Develop and implement process improvement solutions, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and best practices.
Conduct training and provide support to staff on new processes and procedures.
Communication and Collaboration :
Maintain clear and open communication with department members, faculty, and leadership regarding project updates and progress.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders about project progress, including potential challenges and adjustments.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including new nurses, experienced nurses, and department administration, clearly conveying project goals, progress, and any necessary adjustments.
Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging active participation and feedback from all stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners involved in departmental projects.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field required.
Master of Science degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management within a healthcare or educational setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Gantt charts).
Familiarity with healthcare terminology and processes a plus.
Expertise in measuring the impact of process improvements and assessing learning outcomes within an organization.
Experience in analyzing healthcare data and identifying operational inefficiencies.
Familiarity with onboarding and integrating new team members into existing projects.
The ability to adapt and adjust project strategies based on data and feedback, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to changing needs.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience with data analysis and reporting preferred.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
