Job Description
- Prospecting for new business and maximizing growth opportunities
- Responsible for increasing revenue in targeted accounts
- Effectively build consensus, gain appropriate commitments and close business
- Must maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks; and participating in industry related associations and events
- Conduct competitive market intelligence; analyze and adjust positioning to grow market leadership
- Forecast sale trends, sales dollars and communicate competitive situations
- Maintain and enhance our sales position with existing customers
- Set up and maintain routine customer contact
- Strategic business plan development and execution
- Interact with Inside Sales Representative to ensure customer requirements are met
- Interface for customer quality issues
- Travel as needed

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in related field and / or 5+ years of management experience in steel service center sales
- 3 years outside selling experience in the structural steel industry
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic understanding of metallurgical terminology
- Confident in computer skills, including MS Office Suite
- Must be available to commute to facility 1-2x per week
