Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Substance Use Disorder CMS Biller and Coding Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the billing and coding processes for a variety of substance use disorder treatments, including behavioral therapy, medication-assisted treatment, and detoxification.
CMS Billing and Coding Specialist
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Review and process claims for substance use disorder treatment services
- Ensure that billing is compliant with CMS and other insurance provider requirements
- Correct and resubmit denied claims in a timely manner
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CMS regulations and billing procedures
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers to resolve payment issues
- Review treatment plans and medical records to ensure accurate coding
- Monitor revenue and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with treatment teams to improve billing processes and support better patient outcomes
CMS Billing and Coding Specialist
Requirements :
- 3+ years of experience in medical billing and coding, with a focus on substance use disorder treatment
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and billing procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy / physiology
CMS Billing and Coding Specialist
Education :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
