Paralegal – Elder Law & Medicaid Planning

The Law Office of Claire E. Lewis is a well-established elder law practice serving the west side of Indianapolis. We focus on the legal needs of older adults, as well as estate and long-term care planning for people of all ages. Our small, dedicated team of four (attorney, two paralegals, and an office manager) takes pride in providing compassionate, client-centered legal services.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate paralegal to join our office. This position will focus primarily on Medicaid planning and preparing / filing Medicaid applications for clients. Previous Medicaid experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle case management and client files
• Conduct client intake and meet with clients as needed
• Draft correspondence and legal documents
• Provide backup support to the office manager, including :

Answering phones and taking messages
