Trailer Load Team Member
JOB SUMMARY :
The Trailer Load Team Member handles product shipments and other freight, including loading and unloading freight trailers at company fulfillment centers, and to support other company operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES :

- Load product shipments and other freight into freight trailers in a manner which maximizes the use of trailer space and minimizes the risk of damage during transport.
- Unload product shipments and other freight from freight trailers and unpackage for distribution to inventory.
- Prepare product shipments for trailer loading.
- Perform loading and unloading activities in a manner which optimizes fulfillment center operations.
- Operate conveyors and other product moving, sorting and packaging equipment.
- Utilize the warehouse management system as necessary to complete trailer loading and unloading.
- Perform other trailer loading activities as assigned.
- Dispose of packaging and product waste as directed.
- Perform work in a timely, accurate, efficient, safe and lawful manner.
- Perform duties in a constructive and team-oriented manner, supporting the needs of the company and its customers.
- Comply with company policies, training, guidelines and directions in performing work.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide additional assistance as requested for other fulfillment center activities, including receiving, returns, shipping, quality control and inventory management.
- Assist with customer service, marketing and other operations as requested.
- Support other company operations and activities as requested.
- Review policies, communications, and other materials, utilizing available computer workstations when appropriate.
- Attend all department and company meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Requires continuous standing and frequent walking.
- Requires frequent twisting, stooping / bending at the waist and squatting.
- Requires normal hearing and sight on a continuous basis.
- Requires frequent reaching above shoulders, at shoulder height and below shoulders.
- Requires ability to manipulate objects on a continuous basis with one and / or both hands.
- Requires continuous hand movement to grasp, push and pull various weight boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Requires ability to frequently push, carry and pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent heavy pushing and pulling of fully loaded carts of up to 100 lbs.
and palletized items up to 500 pounds.
- Requires ability to rapidly and continuously load and stack trailer freight in a compact manner that maximizes trailer space usage.
