Ibotta is seeking a Director of Billing, Credit, and Collections to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.
Reporting to the Controller, the Director of Billing, Credit and Collections will be responsible for overseeing and developing the overall strategy for the billing, credit, and collections department, which includes optimizing cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and maximizing collections.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position, requiring 2 days in office. Preferred in-office hybrid days are Tuesday and Thursday.
Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing :
Manage all aspects of the billing, credit, and collections department
Provide coaching, guidance, and monitoring to ensure the billing, credit, and collections team is meeting performance targets and organizational objectives for key results
Develop and implement strategies for managing customer accounts and resolving payment issues
Drive the organization's cash collections, billing accuracy and working capital responsibilities
Analyze billing and payment data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for focus and improvement
Design, compile, analyze, and provide monthly analytics for reporting to leadership and strategic decision making
Work cross-functionally with other teams such as corporate accounting, finance, sales, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections processes
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to billing, credit, and collections
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to billing and collections
Prepare and / or review documentation for annual audit requests and support month-end accounting close

What we are looking for :
10+ years of overall in billing, credit, or collections experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
Bachelor’s Degree required, Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field strongly preferred
Technical Skills : Billing and Collections software and systems
Ability to develop and implement strategies that drive performance and improve efficiency
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff across all levels, functions, and external constituencies.
