Position Description : The Construction Loan Administrator will be responsible for managing the life-cycle of construction loans, ensuring compliance with lending policies.
This position will be responsible for evaluating construction loan requests by assessing project feasibility and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
This role involves coordinating with borrowers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the smooth administration of construction loans from application through to project completion.
Position Responsibilities : Analyze project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure they align with loan terms and are realistic.
Review contractor qualifications and project management capabilities. Engage third-party construction services for project analysis.
Review project feasibility and risk with lending staff and make recommendations to mitigate identified risks. Monitor loan performance and compliance throughout the construction period.
Oversee project progress, ensuring contract compliance and resolving any issues that may arise. Coordinate regular inspections and reviews to verify project progress and adherence to loan terms.
Oversee the disbursement process for construction funds, including verifying progress reports, contractor invoices, and lien waivers.
Ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Generate and maintain reports related to loan status, disbursements, and project milestones.
Provide detailed reports to management and stakeholders as required. Onboard projects and borrowers / contractors in construction monitoring software.
Work closely with loan officers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any issues related to loan applications, underwriting / financial analysis and draw requests.
SECONDARY DUTIES
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices for construction loan administration.
Support state and federal loan programs relating to construction loan management. Maintain a good working knowledge of the Banks lending policies and procedures and identify exceptions to policy.
Provide technical assistance to loan officers as needed. Performs other duties as assigned such as special projects and / or bank portfolio stressing.
Minimum Qualifications : QUALIFICATIONS -
Must have bachelors degree in project management / business management or construction, or a minimum of 3 years of commercial construction / project management experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS -
Experience in commercial lending and construction is required
Must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong project management skills with the ability to follow up and provide status updates clearly, concisely, and expediently.
Awareness of project schedules, goals, and milestones in order to properly plan and track to completion.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of state and federal regulations, lending standards, financial products, and bank operations.
Ability to present analysis, recommendations, and solutions to internal commercial lending teammates.

All suspicious activity, regardless of the amount involved in the transaction, must be reported to a supervisor or Branch Manager for further investigation and possible reporting by the Bank Secrecy Officer to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
No director, officer, employee, or agent who reports a suspicious transaction under the requirements of the BSA may notify any person involved in the transaction that the transaction has been reported.
Each employee of the bank shall be required to complete Bank Secrecy Act / Suspicious Activity training periodically which is commensurate with the duties of their position.
