Interim Infection Preventionist RN
HCT is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist for an immediate need at a 500+ bed hospital in southern California.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- providing day-to-day monitoring, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases,
- monitoring hospital-wide surveillance, and
- collecting and reporting data
Requirements :
- Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of Infection Prevention in the Operating Room, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization / sanitation / disinfection practices;
familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software
- License : State of California RN license required
- Certifications : Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Computer Skills / EMR / EHR : Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
Expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, and rental car.
