Job Title : Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU

Location : Spokane, Washington, United States.

Salary : USD $62,580 to $100,788

Employment Type : Full-time

Benefits : Comprehensive Benefits Package

Shift : Full-Time, Night Shift (36 hours per week)

Responsibilities :

  • Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary function testing.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Educate and support parents and family members regarding respiratory care and equipment usage.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advancements in neonatal respiratory care.

Requirements :

  • Education : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certification : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Neonatal / Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) certification preferred.
  • Licensure : Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington.
  • Experience : Prior experience in neonatal respiratory care preferred.
  • Skills :
  • Expertise in neonatal respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, and to stand or walk for extended periods.
