Job Title : Respiratory Care Practitioner - NICU
Location : Spokane, Washington, United States.
Salary : USD $62,580 to $100,788
Employment Type : Full-time

Shift : Full-Time, Night Shift (36 hours per week)
Responsibilities :
- Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary function testing.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Educate and support parents and family members regarding respiratory care and equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advancements in neonatal respiratory care.
Requirements :
- Education : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Certification : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Neonatal / Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) certification preferred.
- Licensure : Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington.
- Experience : Prior experience in neonatal respiratory care preferred.
- Skills :
- Expertise in neonatal respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, and to stand or walk for extended periods.
