In some ways, this work chooses you Being willing to learn- Attending monthly trainings, supervisions, and mindfulness coaching Implementing self-care, and how to best do that on a daily basis Listening to youth, observing youth, and teaching youth new behaviors with a therapeutic approach alongside the Clinical Team Ensuring safety for youth, both emotionally and physically Working with your Team Members on daily tasks that involve caring , protecting , healing , and teaching the youth, including, but not limited to : Assisting with daily routines and implementing a structured schedule (school, outings, groups, activities) Engaging and monitoring youth during meals and while they do their chores Dispensing medication, as necessary Utilizing all training tools from verbal de-escalation to safe physical management, ensuring engagement and relationship-building Above all, using your compassion, empathy, and creativity to create a culture that represents a more natural living environment that promotes healthy boundaries and assertiveness Communicating and delegating responsibilities with your team to ensure consistency and structure on a daily basis BGH has a competitive compensation package, a full range of employer-paid benefits including free health, dental, life, LTD & STD, a 401k company match at 50% up to 6%, and a Paid Time Off policy that includes a total of 24 days off per year that includes holidays.
